This position is for the 2023-2024 School Year.
Week days 8 hour day with 30 minute lunch.
Duty Day will be either 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 11:30 am to 8:00pm
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 year custodial experience or equivalent.
Skills Required
Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Sweep, dust, mop, strip, wax, and polish hallways, offices, classrooms, stairways, and other internal and external space as assigned.
- Scrub and disinfect fountains, sinks, and sanitary closets.
- Vacuum and shampoo rugs and carpeting.
- Empty office, classroom, and other trash containers.
- Straighten classrooms and other assigned spaces for daily use.
- Set up rooms and other facilities for extracurricular events.
- Replace burned out bulbs and perform other such minor tasks
- Perform minor maintenance functions as necessary and as assigned.
- Maintain grounds and campus in the best working order and appearance.
- Complies with state-approved New Mexico Administrative Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession and the SODA Employee Handbook and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations; and
- Performs other duties as assigned by School Principal and Custodial Coordinator. Employee may be assigned other duties based on the needs of the district during the term of employment.
Equipment, Tools, and Materials: Brooms, mops, floor polishing machines, vacuum cleaners, carts, cleaning materials, cleaning solutions.
Specialized Training:
Employees will require specialized training appropriate for the specific job duties. |
